On my run this morning, I not only solidified my once wavering decision of running the New York marathon in November, but I thought it would be an even more challenging, and rewarding undertaking if I train on a completely raw food diet. I intend to chronicle my journey as to give myself an even greater sense of purpose and motivation in times of trial, with which great anticipation and preparation, I hope to overcome. I will detail my workouts as well as my diet for the next four months, starting on July 1st ( as I do not think the Alaskan cruise I am about to embark on will be able to accomodate my needs, but I will do my best to ease into a high raw diet while I am at sea).
Furthermore, I am running the marathon with Team for Kids, which provides much needed health and fitness programs to children in low-income schools and communities. I need to raise $2,620 for this amazing cause and would appreciate any contribution that you can make!
